Stoughton Lumber offers a variety of hardware and tools as part of its Trex "Hideaway" Hardware collection, designed to create a clean, fastener-free deck surface. The most common type of Trex hardware is the Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fastener, a clip that is used with grooved-edge deck boards.
In addition to the hidden fasteners, Trex also provides other decking hardward solutions. This includes a color-match screw and plug system. With this decking hardware system, a special bit is used to create a hole, a screw is driven in, and then a matching plug made from the same material as the decking is tapped into the hole, blending seamlessly with the decking board's surface. Trex fasteners are designed to be durable, weather-resistant, and are often backed by the same warranty as the Trex Decking Boards themselves.
